NEW GAEMS MAGAZINE DEBUTS
The latest edition of the new and improved GAEMS Magazine is now in circulation. All association members and EMS services should be receiving their copies in the mail very soon, if they have not received already. In addition, the new GAEMS Magazine will be seen by thousands from the State Capitol in Atlanta to GAEMS' counterparts in other southeastern states, and to many many more!

METROATLANTA AMBULANCE DONATES AMBULANCES
A small, southwest Georgia county is receiving a much needed donation from a Marietta based emergency medical service.
MetroAtlanta Ambulance is donating two ambulances to Georgetown-Quitman County.

2009 EMS AWARDS BANQUET
The 2009 EMS Awards Banquet, hosted each year by the Georgia Association of Emergency Medical Services (GAEMS), was held at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth, GA on Thursday May 14, 2009.

PIEDMONT HEALTHCARE HONORS FAYETTE COUNTY FIRE & EMS
Piedmont Healthcare representatives recently thanked the professionals of the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services (EMS) for their commitment to excellence and congratulated them on the record-breaking response time that saved the life of Ramzan Batliwala of Fayetteville. Batliwala and his family joined in the congratulations and extended their thanks to all those who were involved.

TRAUMA COMMISSION AWARDS AMBULANCE GRANTS
The Georgia Trauma Care Network Commission has awarded grants to 56 of Georgia's 204 ambulance providers to purchase new ambulances. This annoucement was made during the Trauma Commission's meeting held in Macon on Thursday, April 16, 2009.
